ACEG’s
research is carried out by high calibre researchers drawn from a network of
policy research institutes spread across 26 countries in sub-Saharan Africa as
shown in section 15 below. Beyond these institutions, however, ACEG is able to
quickly outsource as need arises research experts from similar research
institutes outside Africa.
ACEG’s
organization of research allows it to retain only a skeleton in-house team of
professional staff largely deployed to:
ensure technical thoroughness in
design of research projects,
provide leadership and guidance
to research teams,
review research outputs for
quality and impact, and,
coordinate implementation of
effective policy dialogue and dissemination activities.
The
total number of in-house professional staff is five: Two of these have Ph.Ds
while 2 have Masters level education. All
of them have high technical competence and over 12 years experience in research
design and management.
