The
mission of ACEG is to increase knowledge of the policies that work to accelerate
economic growth and expand income opportunities for the people of Africa.
The goal of ACEG is to promote human security and development in Africa.
Key
objectives of ACEG are fivefold:
To
foster dialogue and enrich debate on public policy choices
To
serve as a "resource centre" for the provision of policy advisory
services to governments, private sector organisations and leadership groups
in local communities
To
work with African scholars and research institutes that have track records
in producing policy research results that are critical in accelerating
economic growth and alleviating poverty at national, sub-regional and
continental level
To
augment the much needed collaboration among national policy researchers and
research institutes
To
enhance the quality and policy relevance of the research undertaken by
national policy research institutes and scholars
