58   Training Program in Economic Analysis and Policy Research

Objective:The project (financed by a variety of donors) was designed to develop and strengthen post-graduate programmes for the training of senior economists who will be proficient to carry out effective economic analysis and policy research. As such, this long-term investment was to strengthen research and economic management capacity in francophone African countries.

59.   Training Seminar on Strategic Planning and Communication for Policy Research Institutes in Kenya

Objective: The objective of the training seminar was to enhance the capacity of selected Kenyan policy research institutes to have an impact on policy by increasing their skills in strategic planning and communication. The goal of the seminar was to provide participants with a set of tools for strategic planning and management of policy research institutes through more effective marketing of policy research outputs.
